Red Sox take on rivals in the Bronx after disappointing last two series

Mass.live
Adrian Gonzalez, Cody Ross and Jarrod Saltalamacchia have been bright spots for the Red Sox as of late.

Tonight the Boston Red Sox visit their rivals, the New York Yankees, in the Bronx. The match-up tonight pits Aaron Cook (2-3, 3.50 ERA) against Phil Hughes (9-8, 4.09 ERA). Unfortunately, the Boston Red Sox are not doing too well since their series against the Chicago White Sox, where they won three out of four games. Since then the Toronto Blue Jays swept the Red Sox and the Texas Rangers took two out of three before this weekend series. Buchholz was stellar in the only win in the last six games. Buchholz threw 105 pitches over seven innings and allowed just one run on four hits. He also walked three and struck out one in the 2-1 Red Sox win. It’s absolutely a shame that many of the starting pitchers cannot seem to stop giving up runs in the 1st inning. Felix Doubront managed to not give up any runs in the 1st on his start this past Monday, but regardless the Rangers still pounded on his pitches in the first game of the series. Lester got beaten up by the Blue Jays in yet another horrible start. His woes continue to hurt the Red Sox and the offense is not consistent at all. It’s there or it’s not. Hopefully the rivalry will spark some fire for this weekend to help the Red Sox bring themselves up past .500 baseball again.

The game will begin at 7.05pm from Yankee Stadium. It will be viewable on NESN and MLB Network.

All four films didn’t exist, Resident Evil: Retribution brings back Alice and everyone else, well almost

Resident Evil is one of those films that I watch because it’s just interesting and amusing for the special effects and destruction. Well come this September 14th, the Resident Evil series is not only having a video game and an anthology collection released in October, but also Resident Evil: Retribution will be premiering worldwide in 3D and IMAX 3D. The popular survival horror franchise is giving many fans something to look forward to considering the PC release of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City in July, the all-the-previous-films-were-a-lie Resident Evil: Retribution movie debut in September, and the much anticipated release on Resident Evil 6 are all scheduled to keep fans busy in the year 2012. The film, of course, focuses on the protagonist Alice, who is once again recapture by the Umbrella Corporation and continues to hunt those people responsible for the outbreak. The cast consists of many characters from the Capcom video game franchise such as Jill Valentine and Leon S. Kennedy. However, both Claire and Chris Redfield will not reappear in the film and that is explained through their capture by the Umbrella Corporation. The movie will take us to Tokyo, New York, Washington D.C. and even Moscow. Additionally Rain Ocampo will be returning after her death in the first Resident Evil film. Michelle Rodriguez will reprise her role as the Umbrella Corporation operative, who is now cloned and includes a “Good Rain” and an “Evil Rain”. Check out the debut trailer below and here’s the official website for the upcoming film.
