Crytek going to be a free-to-play developer

Crytek has announced they are sticking to the free-to-play model. Currently developing Warface, Crytek boss Cevat Yerli has stated “all the new games that we’re working on, as well new projects, new platforms and technologies, are designed around free-to-play and online, with the highest quality development”. Therefore in regards to the Crysis series if any new games, not including Crysis 3, are announced, they’ll be free-to-play online games which will be a huge change.

Crytek’s goal is to produce amazing high quality games, while not forcing consumers into pay-to-win.
