Next RockSteady Studios’ game will be a Batman prequel

Come 2014, there will be a new RockSteady Studios’ game that will probably be one of the most highly-anticipated games of the year. The new tile will in fact be a prequel that includes Batman and the DC Universe’s Justice League. As such, it’ll be set before the events of RockSteady’s previous games, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. A main event that will be highlighted is the formation of the Justice League which is headed by the Dark Knight himself. In addition, it will provide insight between the Batman and Joker and their first encounter with each other. The upcoming game will not be available until 2014 at the earliest, because the game will be developed for the next generation of consoles.

Amazing Spider-Man will release later on PC

For some reason and with no explanation at all, Activision’s The Amazing Spider-Man game will arrive on PC in August. The game will be over a month late compared to the launch for the Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS, DS, and Wii versions that will hit stores this Friday. Perhaps the halted launch is due to The Amazing Spider-Man being available on Steam on August 10th, oh and with Steam Achievements. Who knows, hopefully they’ll be be enhancing the game and making it the best it should be, at least that’s what I’d like to think whenever there’s a PC game version release date delay. It seems inevitable that most PC releases get hit with the delay bug. However, the Spider-Man game has been compared to Batman: Arkham City, which is a pretty nice statement.

Until the PC release, you can always watch the film that appears in theatres on July 3rd next week.

Lego video games aren’t going away anytime soon

Legos, an essential part of my childhood, I still have yet to acquire a taste for the Lego video game franchise. During E3, two Lego games were showcased, Lego Batman 2: DC Superheroes and Lego The Lord of the Rings. Developed by Traveller’s Tales, the two new games each bring something new to the table for the upcoming installments in the popular franchise. The Batman sequel features a plethora of DC heroes as well as the usual Batman villans such as the Joker who’s highlighted in the following trailer.

The Lego The Lord of the Rings on the other hand allows players to go on an epic journey with the all nine members of the Fellowship, while inviting RPG elements into the mix.

Lego Lord of the Rings outed

For all you Lego video game fans, there will probably be a Lego Lord of the Rings game sometime this fall. The retailer listed October 26th as the release date for their listing (which is now in Google’s cache), but there’s no confirmation as to whether or not that’s true. Also the listing is for Xbox 360, but considering the popularity of the Lego video game series, it’s rather likely the game will be available on other consoles. In addition, the Lego Lord of the Rings product line is coming out later this year along with the new Hobbit film. If this video game is true, it seems a lot is falling into place for Lord of the Rings.
