The much anticipated installment of Ubisoft’s popular franchise, Assassin’s Creed III, will be releasing in exactly two weeks (October 31st for EU). Though like myself and for other PC gamers, we must wait until November 20th (NA) or November 23rd (EU) for the release unfortunately. Today marks a new trailer for the title which highlights the multiplayer aspect of the game. It also introduces a new feature of the area by incorporating co-op multiplayer assassinations. Check out the details below.

Steam highlights Just Cause and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for the weekend

This weekend Steam has discounted Just Cause and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Just Cause and Just Cause 2 are available for 75% off making both games purchasable for under $7. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is also available for 33% off reducing it to $33.49 until Monday 1pm EST.

Assassin’s Creed III’s naval warfare trailer

After E3, one of the biggest moments concerning the Assassin’s Creed series was innovation and new features. Certainly Assassin’s Creed III‘s development team has put a lot of hard work to give the fans a fresh new take on the series in the upcoming installment. Assassin’s Creed III will be releasing on October 30th for Xbox 360 and PS3 along with its sister PS Vita title, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. However, Ubisoft has recently confirmed November 20th as the North America release date for the PC version where as it’ll release three days later to other countries. Below is the current trailer for the newest title that obviously focuses on one of the most interesting gameplay aspects of Assassin’s Creed III, naval warfare.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation gameplay trailer highlights alligator wrestling and poison dart

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation is probably one of the most anticipated PS Vita titles of this year. For the first time ever, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation follows a female protagonist named Aveline. Set in New Orleans, the new game will provide a little more background concerning the relationship of Connor and Aveline and how they came to know each other. Check out the latest screenshots below along with the new gameplay trailer.

Assassin’s Creed III for PC release date confirmed to be a month later

Ubisoft has officially announced that Assassin’s Creed III for PC will in fact be out a month later. After at least a month of speculation after an image caught by one of Eurogamer’s counterparts, Assassin’s Creed III will be available on November 2oth for North America and the 23rd for the rest of the world for PC. Hopefully, the extended date will allow for more features to be placed into the game to make it as polished and excellent as it can be. Also in recent news, the PlayStation 3 edition will receive an hour long exclusive content like in the past release of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood where PS3 players received the Copernicus Conspiracy mission. There is still no details on what the exclusive content entails yet.

Assassin’s Creed III’s new trailer shows off AnvilNext Engine

Check out the brand new trailer for Assassin’s Creed III which highlights much of the new improvements and features in the upcoming installment. The game is also utilizing Ubisoft’s newest Anvil technology, AnvilNext Engine. The previous three Assassin’s Creed games used the Anvil Engine, but for the next title, Ubisoft is really highlighting the amazing standouts of the game which includes, but not limited to changing weather according to the seasons, naval warfare, combat and movement based on Connor’s heritage, as well as 2000 NPCs battling in one sequence.

Assassin’s Creed III will receive episodic DLC content

Assassin’s Creed III‘s DLC content post-release will be episodic DLC. There’s no news of what the DLC content will include, but there will eventually be a season pass in order to get all the DLC content on the time of their launch as well as it’ll probably be cheaper than individually paying for each episode. The season pass was already revealed when a Gold Edition of the game was made available on the EU PlayStation Store. The Gold Edition includes the digital download of the game, the season pass for DLC, and sister title, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation.

Assassin’s Creed III Boston demo shows off new tactics and combat system

I’m so excited for this game. Disappointed that the PC version is once again delayed, but hopefully it’ll be worth the wait. This demo set in Boston is certainly impressive in the improvements they made from the previous games. Take a look at it below. Also check out some multiplayer screenshots from Eurogamer. The new title will featue a co-op Wolf Pack mode which allows “up to four players to work together to assassinate NPC targets. 25 waves of targets are offered, with assassinations growing more difficult over time. You’ll race to take down your mark – or marks – against the clock, IGN revealed. Players will have to communicate and work together with others to reach the higher levels” (Eurogamer).

CBS signed to Deus Ex: Human Revolution based film

Assassin’s Creed isn’t the only series turning into a film, now so is Square Enix’s Deus Ex. The most recent installment of the series Deus Ex: Human Revolution debuted last summer and now the new film will feature an interpretation of the recent video game. There’s no news on who will play the main role for the film, but it certainly won’t be Michael Fassbender. CBS will be working closely with Eidos Montreal and Roy Lee, executive producer of The Departed, and Adrian Askarieh are the two named producers for the upcoming film. As someone who just finished Deus Ex: Human Revolution rather recently, it’s truly an amazing game and I highly recommend it. For a game that hasn’t been out for more than a year, grabbing Deus Ex: HR on a 75% off sale at just $7.49 is an absolute steal. Also The Departed is a great film that I recommend too, of course I’m biased having been raised in Massachusetts.

Michael Fassbender to star in upcoming Assassin’s Creed film

Assassin’s Creed is in fact receiving a film adaptation. Michael Fassbender, who  played Magneto in X-Men: First Class and David in Prometheus, will be the star of the film. According to Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Ubisoft Motion Pictures, Michael Fassbender was the top choice for the role.
