Steam Summer Sale Day 8

Here are the daily deals for Day 8 of Steam’s Summer Sale. There are only three more days of indie bundles after this as well.

The flash sales at the moment now are:

The community poll at the moment is amongst Total War: Shogun 2(75% off), Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine (75% off), and Dead Island (66% off). The voting ends in less than two hours and you have a chance to pick up The Longest Journey at $2.49 (75% off) before the community sale ends in less than two hours.

The Witcher 2 sales reach 1.7 million

According to CD Projekt RED, they have sold more than 1.7 million copies of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings on both the PC and Xbox 360. In celebration of that mark, CD Projekt RED’s GOG has reduced the price of The Witcher 2 to just $29.99 for this week, which is a lovely 40% off sales for those who don’t already own the game.

In addition to the sales news and the new RPG title, CD Projekt RED has also stated that The Witcher 2 will be releasing on August 23rd in Japan and that the title will also receive a Mac version, which is currently in development.

CD Projekt RED set to release more details about their new project in a livestream tomorrow

CD Projekt RED, developer of The Witcher and The Witcher 2, released a new image above teasing their next RPG in-development. You can hear more about the details of this project at 1pm EST tomorrow from TheWitcher.com by viewing the livestream footage.

sorry for the shifting of videos in blogs, not sure why it’s happening

I’m not sure why or how this is happening, but my video embeds keep switching around. As such I’m seeing The Witcher 2 trailer where the Darksiders 2 trailer should be and other videos are messed up as well. Sorry about this inconvenience, if anyone happens to know why this might be happening I’d greatly appreciate some help with it.

The Witcher 2 Assassin’s of Kings Enhanced Edition releasing tomorrow!

On April 13th, Tesco made the mistake of placing their copies of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition on shelves four days before the official release date. Lucky you if you got one of those advanced copies since Namco Bandai has asked Tesco to remove any remaining copies of the game until April 17th.

To get ready for tomorrow’s release of The Witcher 2, here are a couple links from Eurogamer. I’ve also attached a few impressive trailers.

The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition available to to pre-download now

The title completely says it all. Though unfortunately if you are a Steam user (which is where my copy of The Witcher 2 happens to be), you will not be able to pre-load the additions until possibly the release date of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition on April 17th. But whether or not you are able to download the game early or upon release, you should certainly be thankful to CD Projekt RED with their approach to their consumers. Anyone who purchases it from GOG or Steam right now, will instantly receive the free whooping 10 GB update for free. That’s practically the entire original game’s worth of new characters, quests, cinematics etc. for a game that’s almost a year old! Also if you haven’t gotten The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut, check it out at Steam or GOG. Steam now officially supports it on the Mac now.
