The Walking Dead to release on PS Vita

Telltale’s episodic point-and-click adventure game, The Walking Dead, will eventually be available for the PS Vita this year. The winner of 80 awards will be receiving a second season for the fourth quarter of 2013. The second season might be impacted by a user’s previous season one decisions.

Steam discounts British indie game bundle and The Walking Dead; The Walking Dead: Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead available tomorrow

This midweek madness sale is pretty awesome. Steam has discounted Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead to 40% off, making it a wonderful $14.99 for all five episodes. This is undoubtedly due to the upcoming release of Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead, which has released today for PlayStation Network. However, other gamers will have to wait one more day for its release to Xbox Live Arcade, PC, and Mac. In addition, tomorrow Episode 2 – Starved For Help will release on iOS. You can pick up the bundle of the game that includes all episodes upon release for just $14.99 as well from the iTunes App Store. If you wish to purchase it individually, then the episode will cost $4.99. I thoroughly have enjoyed the first two episodes and highly recommend the game to anyone who’s interested in it. Picking it up for just $14.99 is a great deal.

Also there’s the British Indie Game Bundle that features six games: Defcon, Eufloria, Frozen Synapse, Gratuitous Space Battles, Revenge of the Titans, and Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please! Special Edition Double Pack. The bundle is available for just $9.99 (75% off).

Both these deals will end as always on Thursday at 7pm EST.

The Walking Dead comes to iOS

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead will be available on iTunes for just $14.99. Each episode is will be available for $4.99 each, but the $14.99 includes them all so you’ll save yourself $10 in the long run. If you have an iOS device, you’ll be able to play it on the following ones: iPad 2, the new iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and 4th Generation iPods and above. I picked up the game during the Steam Summer Sale and definitely think that it’s a great game, despite not realizing that it was solely a point-and-click game. The story is engaging and overall, does a nice job with the whole make-a-decision-now and its consequences concept.

Steam Summer Sale Day 4

Here’s your daily deals for Day 4! You still have less than twelve hours to purchase Day 3 daily deals as well.

The flash sales at the moment now are:

The community poll at the moment is amongst Terraria (75% off), Bastion (75% off), and Dungeon Defenders (75% off). The voting ends in less than five hours and you have another chance to pick up Legend of Grimrock at $5.99 (60% off) before the community sale ends in less than 6 hours.

I recommend Saints Row: The Third, it is incredibly amusing and hilarious. I definitely recommend Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP as well.

New The Walking Dead video game in the works, set to release in 2013

If you love zombies, then I’m sure you’ve heard of The Walking Dead by now, the film or even the video game. Well now there’s a new The Walking Dead video game on the horizon. And no, this isn’t another episode from Telltale Games. Nope, this one will be published by Activison and developed by Terminal Reality. The new game will be a first-person shooter and take place before the events of the first episode of the critically-acclaimed AMC TV series. You’ll control Daryl Dixon and will embark on a journey about him and his brother Merle. It will incorporate possibilities to take on zombies directly or to avoid them. Additionally, the game will be released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in 2013. Below is a trailer for the upcoming title. In other news, The Walking Dead: Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead will be available sometime in mid-August. The Walking Dead: Episode 2 – Starved for Help is available now to play. Purchase the game on Steam for $24.99 (supports PC and Mac through Steamplay).

The Walking Dead – Starved for Help available on Xbox Live now

Today Telltale’s second episode of their The Walking Dead game has released and is available for only 400 Microsoft Points off of Xbox Live. The PlayStation Network edition will hit on Friday for just $4.99, in addition to the launches of “Starved for Help” on PC and Mac June 29th by select digital distribution partners.

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead: Episode 1 available now

UPDATE: The Xbox 360 version will release on April 27th for only 400 points off of XBLA.

If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead series, check out the new video game based off of the comic book and AMC TV show. The game is set in five episodes and it just released its first episode on Steam today (okay well technically yesterday; also it released on PS3 and will soon see an Xbox 360 and iOS version as well).

  • Episode 1 – A New Day – Available Now!

Dates TBD

  • Episode 2 – Starved for Help
  • Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead
  • Episode 4 – Around Every Corner
  • Episode 5 – No Time Left

Released by Telltale Games, in at least the first installment you follow Lee Everett, who’s a convicted murder. He escapes his imprisonment when the zombie apocalypse hits and must survive this worldly devastation. In the trailer, you see him focus on helping a little girl named Clementine and perhaps that will give him redemption in this world and for his past sins. You’ll meet a bunch of people who’ll help your survival or perhaps endanger it. In addition, the game is heavily focused on having your decisions affect the consequences and the events you encounter during your experience. If you can’t get enough of the series, take a look into the game. The trailer is certainly intriguing and reminiscent of both the TV series and the comic book.
