The Walking Dead to release on PS Vita


Telltale’s episodic point-and-click adventure game, The Walking Dead, will eventually be available for the PS Vita this year. The winner of 80 awards will be receiving a second season for the fourth quarter of 2013. The second season might be impacted by a user’s previous season one decisions.

Machinarium to release on PS Vita at the end of March


Come March 26th, Amanita Design’s cute point-and-click adventure game will be available on the PS Vita for $6.99. You can also pick up the game on Steam for $2.99 (PC/Mac) during the Indie Spring Sale which won’t end until March 29th.

Assassin’s Creed III’s naval warfare trailer


After E3, one of the biggest moments concerning the Assassin’s Creed series was innovation and new features. Certainly Assassin’s Creed III‘s development team has put a lot of hard work to give the fans a fresh new take on the series in the upcoming installment. Assassin’s Creed III will be releasing on October 30th for Xbox 360 and PS3 along with its sister PS Vita title, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation. However, Ubisoft has recently confirmed November 20th as the North America release date for the PC version where as it’ll release three days later to other countries. Below is the current trailer for the newest title that obviously focuses on one of the most interesting gameplay aspects of Assassin’s Creed III, naval warfare.

Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation is probably one of the most anticipated PS Vita titles of this year. For the first time ever, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation follows a female protagonist named Aveline. Set in New Orleans, the new game will provide a little more background concerning the relationship of Connor and Aveline and how they came to know each other. Need for Speed: Most Wanted Limited Edition available just for pre-ordering


Electronic Arts latest installment of the Need for Speed series will receive a Limited Edition. This Limited Edition is available upon pre-ordering the title and will not thus cause you to spend extra money than the normal baseline price. However, it wouldn’t surprise me if they came out with another edition that does require you to spend $50 extra for more “fancier” stuff. The game will release on October 30th for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PS Vita, iOS, and Android. Below is the listing of the Limited Edition features.

  • Four hours of Double Speed Points: Players earn double speed points throughout the first four hours of multiplayer.
  • 2012 Porsche 911 Carerra S: Optimized aerodynamic body that reduces drag for maximum speed and Nitrous Burn, delivering efficient and sustained speed boosts.
  • Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale: A Race Pack Powertrain tuned for increased power and the impact protection modification to provide increased stability and strength when driving at breakneck speeds

In addition to the Limited Edition, you will also receive these exclusive packs their available by certain retailers, though not sure which retailers give which packs. You’ll have to figure that out by yourself when you want to pre-order the game from your favorite retailer.

  • Speed Pack: The Caterham Superlight R500 in the exclusive Satin Black livery, featuring the Track Tyres modification for improved road handling, and the Lightweight Chassis modification allowing players to reach mesmerizing speeds.

 

  • Strike Pack: The Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series in the exclusive Satin Black livery, featuring the Power Pack Powertrain modification for an engine tuned for torque, acceleratio,n and the ability to reach breakneck speeds, and the Re-inflating Tyres [sic] modification making it easier to survive and counter rivals’ attempts to slow players down.

  • Power Pack: The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor in the exclusive Satin Black livery, featuring the Reinforced Chassis modification for taking increased damage, and the powerful and violent Nitrous Dump modification for making tight jumps and powered up takedowns.

There’s still no pre-order available for Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation/ PlayStation Vita bundle; however, here’s an extended trailer for your enjoyment. You can pre-order the game off of Amazon and if you’d like the bundle, type in your email address on Amazon’s PS Vita bundle page and you’ll be notified when it is available.

Did you keep your Borderlands save file?


Borderlands 2 will now offer Vault Veteran Rewards for those players who played the first installment of the series. Gearbox has stated there will be exclusive customization items such as heads and skins available with Borderlands 2 when the game detects a former save file. Borderlands 2 launches on September 18th on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. In addition, a PlayStation Vita might be a possibility later.
