Sanctum 2 to release this year

The common indie game, Sanctum, will be receiving a sequel this year. Coffee Stain Studios’ first-person tower defense game will hit Steam of course. But it will also be available on Xbox Live as well as PlayStation Network. Take a look at the trailer showcasing more vibrant environments in the upcoming installment. If you want to get more information about the game, check out the development blog.

Steam discounts British indie game bundle and The Walking Dead; The Walking Dead: Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead available tomorrow

This midweek madness sale is pretty awesome. Steam has discounted Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead to 40% off, making it a wonderful $14.99 for all five episodes. This is undoubtedly due to the upcoming release of Episode 3 – Long Road Ahead, which has released today for PlayStation Network. However, other gamers will have to wait one more day for its release to Xbox Live Arcade, PC, and Mac. In addition, tomorrow Episode 2 – Starved For Help will release on iOS. You can pick up the bundle of the game that includes all episodes upon release for just $14.99 as well from the iTunes App Store. If you wish to purchase it individually, then the episode will cost $4.99. I thoroughly have enjoyed the first two episodes and highly recommend the game to anyone who’s interested in it. Picking it up for just $14.99 is a great deal.

Also there’s the British Indie Game Bundle that features six games: Defcon, Eufloria, Frozen Synapse, Gratuitous Space Battles, Revenge of the Titans, and Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please! Special Edition Double Pack. The bundle is available for just $9.99 (75% off).

Both these deals will end as always on Thursday at 7pm EST.

Final Fantasy VII possibly coming to Steam

Final Fantasy VII looks like it might be heading to Steam. Square Enix registered a domain, FinalFantasyVIIPC.com, on June 15th which was originally detailed on GOG Forum. Additionally last year Steam’s registry listed Final Fantasy VII and VIII. The new version will have Steam achievements totaling to 36 and will also be supported by Steam Cloud.

“There will also be a new Character Booster item to max-out your HP, MP and Gil levels for when you ‘find yourself stuck on a difficult section or lacking the funds to buy that vital Phoenix Down'” (Eurogamer).

God of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition available to pre-order on Amazon now

For just $79.99, you can now pre-purchase the God of War: Ascension Collector’s Edition. The game is scheduled to release March 12, 2013 and was a big hit at Sony’s E3 press conference. The new Collector’s Edition confirms there will be DLC for the upcoming game due to a nice future DLC content pass available for those who really got to have the Collector’s Edition. Pretty nice, all the content, soundtrack, plus probably an impressive Kratos Statue and detailed Steelbook case.

  • Premium Steelbook case
  • Official Game Soundtrack (digital version)
  • PS3 Dynamic Theme
  • PSN Avatar Pack
  • Multiplayer Double XP Unlock
  • Pass for future DLC content
