Celtics win series 4-2 against Hawks, will face the 76ers in next round

Last night the Celtics were victorious in a 83-80 win over the Atlanta Hawks to eliminate their opponents and advance themselves to the second round playoffs against the Philadelphia 76ers. Kevin Garnett was the leader in last night’s game posting 28 points, 14 rebounds, three steals, and five blocks. Paul Pierce also greatly helped the Celtics by block Joe Johnson’s shot when there was only 3.9 seconds left in regulation. Also last night, Hollins made a huge play by rebounding Garnett’s missed shot. He grabbed the ball and went back up to drive the basket home inducing tons of faithful Celtics’ fans cheers. Not only did he capitalized on the play, but he also received a foul shot by Al Horford, which gave the Celtics another go-ahead basket.

The win ended the series with the Celtics beating the Hawks 4-2. The Celtics next game will not occur until this Saturday night at 8.00pm on TNT, so the Celtics will have a day to relax and prepare for their upcoming series against the 76ers, who eliminated the Chicago Bulls.
